Three new members appointed to Bebashi’s board of directors

Ayanna Washington, MBA, M.Ed., Scott Young, and Todd Outten are the newest members to be appointed to the board as the organization moves forward with its strategic development plan.

                

Philadelphia, PA (April 9, 2021) – Bebashi – Transition to Hope is pleased to announce the appointment of Ayanna Washington, MBA, M.Ed., Scott Young, and Todd Outten to its board of directors.

These additions come as the organization continues to implement its most recent strategic plan and position itself for future growth and an expansion of services.

“Over the past three months, Bebashi has welcomed six new board members, each of whom bring a very diverse set of skills and experience, which we believe will help to propel the organization to the next level,” said Linda Marshall, Board Chair. “We are very excited to bring Mrs. Washington, Mr. Young and Mr. Outten on board and look forward to the next chapter of Bebashi.”

With eighteen years of experience working in higher education in for-profit and nonprofit institutions, Ayanna Washington is the director of the Career Connections department at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) where she works collaboratively with employers to identify and connect students to job opportunities in the City of Philadelphia. At CCP, she also serves as an adjunct faculty member for Navigating Business and Leadership.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Temple University with a minor in education and has two master’s degrees, an MBA with a concentration in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Education with a concentration in Educational Management from Strayer University. She is an alumnus of DiverseForce on Boards and has a wealth of experience, having served on several other boards and committees.

A West Philadelphia native, Scott Young served in the United States Air Force for almost ten years. After his service, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Temple and an MBA in Health Administration from Eastern University.

He was an adjunct professor for a few years teaching Leadership Development and is an experienced medical administrator, having worked with the Philadelphia Prison System and as a Bio Medical Manager at the American Red Cross. He currently works as an insurance broker and has an established business management and development coaching practice.

Todd Outten, who has over twenty years of experience as an engineer, entrepreneur, and technology executive in the media, entertainment, and telecommunications industries, currently works as a software and systems engineer at Comcast. He has established several technology startups throughout his career, focused on technology strategy and development related to innovation and new product design.

In addition to his experience, Outten brings Bebashi his passion for community and, throughout his life, has participated in several nonprofits in various capacities.
