Over 200 children provided with toys for the holidays thanks to Bebashi’s annual toy drive

Philadelphia, PA (December 22, 2020) – An estimated 200 children living in poverty will now have presents under their tree, thanks to a toy drive organized by Bebashi – Transition to Hope.

On Tuesday, December 22, the 35-year-old non-profit organization hosted its annual toy drive to help underserved families living with HIV/AIDS and spread some holiday cheer in the community. During the event, some of the organization’s clients visited Bebashi’s Spring Garden office to collect toys for their children, with some opting to take a photo with Santa.

“For over 18 years Bebashi has hosted this event to try to support our underserved clients and their families,” said Nafisah Houston, Assistant Supervisor, Medical Case Management. “Many of our clients live below the poverty line and rely on this event to provide presents for their children.”

In support of the drive, Bebashi received generous donations of toys and gift cards from several individuals and organizations including City Gas on Spring Garden Street, Gwynedd Friends Meeting and Aids Fund.

This event is one of many ways Bebashi works to make an impact and serve the community.
