Bebashi is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering integrative patient care, promoting safety, and ensuring the well-being of all patients. Working under the guidance of the Supervisor, this position involves collaboration with fellow staff, clinicians, and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of patient care delivery. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for front desk coverage, including patient check-in and fee collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general patient care following established procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for healthcare providers.
• Obtain and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications, and presenting problems.
• Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines through various methods.
• Perform routine tests, including EKGs.
• Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and ensure follow-up to completion.
• Communicate with patients regarding test results and plans of care as directed.
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Document patient plans of care, tests, and examination results in the medical record.
• Escalate non-routine issues, questions, or concerns to Manager.
• Ensure safety checklist and quality controls are completed as required.
• Uphold patient safety and privacy rights.
• Perform other duties as directed by Manager or requested by healthcare providers.

Experience And Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited program,
Required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical or healthcare setting, supporting medical
practice.
• Proficiency in HER systems and basic computer applications
• Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Ability to work effectively with diverse, vulnerable, and underserved populations
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs as required in a clinical setting
• Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends, if required by program needs
