Board of Directors

Bebashi Transition to Hope is accepting applications to be a part of our Board of Directors!

We are a multi-purpose health and social services agency with a special interest in serving people in Philadelphia. Our mission is “To empower people to enhance the quality of their health and overall well-being by providing access to culturally sensitive high quality healthcare, HIV/AIDS services, health education, and social services.” We’re also expanding to fight other challenges like hunger and breast cancer.

In continuing our work, we are looking for committed members with a broad range of skills, experience and interests. Members of the board will support the work of Bebashi and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day to day operations are led by Sebrina Tate, Executive Director(ED), the Board-ED relationship is a partnership and the appropriate involvement of Board Members is both critical and expected.

Collectively, the board helps to:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the Bebashi Strategic 3 Year Plan
  • Approve Bebashi’s annual budget, audit reports and meeting all legal and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Serve on committees
  • Work with other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out
  • Solicit corporate or individual contributions
  • Engage in outreach for the organization

Board terms/participation

We seek a mix of cultural, racial, gender, and professional diversity for the board. Interested candidates should submit a short letter of interest (250 words or less) stating why they would like to serve on the Bebashi board, including any relevant biographical information to President of Board of Directors, Linda Marshall – via email – lmarshall@bebashi.org.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
