Bebashi announces the appointment of Shakeeta Purdie to its board of directors

Bebashi – Transition to Hope is pleased to welcome Shakeeta M. Purdie, M.B.A. to its board of directors.

Purdie, an experienced finance and accounting professional, is the managing director of Advanced Accounting Solutions and is a graduate of the DiverseForce On Boards Program, a board governance training and matching program for mid-to-senior level professionals of color to serve effectively on the boards of nonprofit organizations.

“Ms. Purdie’s appointment to our board of directors is part of our ongoing process to ensure that Bebashi’s leadership comprises individuals with a broad range of skills, experience and interests as we continue to develop the organization,” said Linda Marshall, Board Chair. “We welcome her to the board and are very excited for her involvement and the valuable contributions that she will bring to Bebashi.”

Purdie’s career in accounting and finance started in 2007 during which she has held several leadership roles for the Department of Defense and Homeland Security, before establishing her own financial services agency in 2017.

Purdie has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Cheyney University and a Master of Business Administration from Holy Family University.
