Lead Clinician

Position Description:
Bebashi – Transition to Hope is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Clinician to oversee the clinical operations at our Wellness Center. The Lead Clinician will serve as the primary medical provider and clinical team leader, delivering high-quality care to clients while ensuring compliance with medical protocols, standards, and agency policies. This role is ideal for a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in community health, HIV/STI care, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services, including routine medical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and acute illnesses.
- Conduct HIV/STI testing, treatment, and counseling, as well as PrEP/PEP management.
- Supervise and support the clinical team, including medical assistants, contract providers, and interns.
- Serve as the clinical lead on the development and implementation of care protocols and workflows.
- Monitor patient care quality and ensure documentation is compliant with standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure comprehensive wraparound services.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical audits, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor clinical staff on procedures, clinical protocols, and best practices.
- Ensure timely completion of patient records and data entry into electronic health records (EHR).
- Stay informed about current public health issues, treatment guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent Bebashi at community events, health fairs, and professional conferences as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required:
o Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
o Certification in Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology, or similar scope
o Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority
o CPR/BLS certification
- Preferred Experience:
o Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in a community health, primary care, or infectious disease setting
o Experience supervising or training other clinical staff
o Familiarity with HIV, STI treatment, PrEP/PEP, and LGBTQ+ healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to health equity, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Clinical and office environment with routine client interaction
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours for events or outreach
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform physical exams, and handle medical equipment
