Medical Director (Part-Time)

OVERVIEW

Rewarding career opportunity for a licensed Psychiatrist to work with the first African-American organization founded to support the HIV/AIDS epidemic in black and brown communities.  Bebashi Transition To Hope’s Wellness Center is a Title X funded Family Planning clinic that serves the immediate community on a walk-in and as-scheduled basis in order to provide contraceptive services, pregnancy counseling, reproductive counseling, STI/HIV services and treatment and preventative care for various chronic health issues that affect our served population.

We are looking for a part-time Medical Director to provide clinical oversight to the clinicians of the Wellness Center. The clinician will independently assess acute and non-acute clinical problems, perform and document physical assessments and patient histories, analyze trends in patient conditions, develops documents, and implement a care management plan in response to the data obtained.

This is an opportunity for a dedicated clinician to provide essential medical services, HIV, and family planning education to underserved communities in the Philadelphia area.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The qualified candidate will be a team player who has a strong clinical background and willing to be flexible with their schedule as this position may require work outside of normal business hours.  In addition, the successful candidate will possess:

  • Current Pennsylvania licensure for Psychology/Psychiatry
  • Current BLS certification
  • 5 years of post-residency experience
  • Experience with HIV+ patients a plus
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to relay information to patients in a compassionate manner.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

This is an on-site position.

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience and education licensure
