Assistant Supervisor of Prevention and Education

ROLE: Responsible for the assisting the Prevention Supervisor in the oversight of educational programs and supervision of prevention staff.

MAIOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for coordinating outreach events and activities (to include educational presentations)
  • Assist with supervision with 2-3 prevention staff members
  • Supervise the volunteers, interns, and Prep squad individuals
  • Ensure all contract goals and objectives are met in accordance with the funders
  • Ensure compliance with contract and agencies
  • Assist the Prevention Supervisor with developing and monitoring the Continuous Quality Improvement process to ensure appropriate program
  • Assist with developing and implementing in-service training programs for all client services
  • Work with Supervisor of Prevention to develop speakers’ bureau and train
  • Assist with developing and implementing educational curriculums for the Prevention
  • Assist with monitoring the implementation of the Center for Disease Control’s curriculums for target audience and market the curriculum with the Supervisor of Prevention.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with community, businesses, and other entities.
  • Maintain timely completion of reports and work plans and other written requirements of funding sources.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more in HIV and STI testing and education.
  • 2 years or more in prevention navigation services.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with superior multi- tasking abilities, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work with teams and lead teams.
  • 2 or more years in a supervisory or team leader capacity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, and any related field preferred.
