Services

We believe that the first line of defense against HIV/AIDS is prevention: primarily, keeping people from becoming infected with HIV and; secondarily, preventing those who are already HIV-positive from infecting others. If we do not stop the spread of HIV/AIDS in this country, then we may face many of the same challenges now being encountered in Africa, specifically, the costs of keeping people alive may become too prohibitive.

As BEBASHI looks toward the future…it’s a bittersweet time for those of us working in the HIV/AIDS field. Despite statistics that prove that fewer people are getting AIDS and those who are, are succumbing less frequently from it, there continues to be an significant rise in HIV infection in the African American, Latino, and female community. In order to continue educating those in the community that have a “false sense of security” about safer sex practices and provide services to those living with HIV, BEBASHI will need the support of caring people like you. We hope our mission will become your mission because we cannot win this war against HIV/AIDS alone.
